Jesus or Isus, or Isis?Dan Baxley No, I have not discovered something new. It is just a question, another small nail, perhaps, tacking the bogus name Jesus to another name, a name the Egyptians were and are familiar with. Please don't be offended but is you are then I guess I cannot do anything about that. I could warn you that our Savior said there would be those offended and finding the followers of YaHshua offensive, not for being obnoxious or inciting violence but for being reminders to the outsiders of the body that they continue in sin, that they worship what they do not really know, and this is merely by being around and saying, "you worship another Christ than we do". For reason explained elsewhere I have made it plain that this site is "not for everyone" but for those being made aware of the real Messiah and to encourage those feeling alone in this knowledge. It is admitted that over the last several years we see a new interest in using a name (not Jesus) but Yeshua, sometimes mixed with the name Jesus, as in finishing a prayer. I guess that is what you call covering the bases. Back to the question: Jesus or Isus? I'm sure most of you have heard the name IMUS, the personality of the early morning radio show, Imus In the Morning. For those that have never heard of Imus, believe me, it is a real name and is pronounced, Eye-Mus. What is it I wish to prove? First, the way the English language uses the letter "i". In this case we see the "I" in the name IMUS is pronounced as Eye-mus. Now consider this, the first botched translation (1611 KJV) of our Savior's Name into English was penned, IESUS. Do you see where I'm going with this? If IMUS is pronounced Eye-mus then IESUS would be pronounced Eye-sus, or vocally, very close to ISIS. The name "Jesus" came to us in later translations updating the 1611 King James Version. The "i" was replaced with the "j" and this dramatically changed the pronunciation of the name Iesus to Jesus. For those holding the KJV as the only "Authorized" Bible and the biggest supporters of the 1611 KJV version, they should in all correctness be using the name IESUS. It may be a mere coincident that the name IESUS and ISIS are so close in pronunciation but one thing is sure, absolutely sure, IESUS is not the name of our Savior anymore than IESUS is. One might wonder where the name IESUS came from is not form the Apostles. Remember, the Apostles proclaimed a name to all of Israel, to the Gentiles and to Kings of the earth so the questions stands, did they use this name, IESUS? This bogus name comes from the Latin which comes form the Greek, Iesous (Eye - ee -- soos, or Hey-soos, or Hey-Zues). Notice something odd? IESOUS, no matter how you pronounce it, like the names IESUS and JESUS sound nothing like our Savior's real, birth name, YaHshua. In the English bible there is a name that is very close to the equivalent of His given Name, YaHshua, and that name is, Joshua (Yoshua), and is found in the Bible. So, why didn't the translators use the more correct, JOSHUA? In the European languages the letter "i" is handled differently as the "i" is pronounced as "H" or Yah. The name John in the European languages is Yah-on. Certainly most have notice this when hearing people from the northern parts of Europe using this name. When we turn to the Latin, however, it all falls apart, and the twisting of the original Greek is evident and a further progression into the error is seen as the English Christians combat the Roman Christians, each producing their own bibles. What is strange is that the English translators took from the Latin Bible most of the names as opposed to seeking our the original language of the Apostle, of the Messiah Himself. Hang on, I'm going to make a leap -- remember, this is not a study, merely an observation -- if we can see the name JESUS pronounced as IESUS and then ISIS then what strange things do we see with this name, a name of an Egyptian goddess? A couple of things stand out, first is that ISIS' favorite creature is the snake, and her holy number is 666. Of course she is a female goddess, so, perhaps, none of this applies -- I said it was all speculation. But the real lesson here is in how the letter "i" is handled and how the "j" is handled in obscuring the truth, and when our Savior saw this happening he was inspired to write -- John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.IMUS in the Morning to you all.
