A House Divided --Will Not Stand

Dan Baxley

(Remember, I said, this web site is not for the non-believer nor the critic of the Holy Bible.  This web site is for the believer called to our Savior YaHshua.  But, if you happen to have stumbled into this space I hope you will find something of value, something you can take away as a positive reinforcement of your faith.  Remember, the Body of the Messiah is a single, united body with many different parts, millions by number, from the beginning of Creation, but counting few in these last days, HalleluYaH).

Below you sill see a list under titles, “False Teachers”, “False Prophets”, Heretical books & Movements, Problematic Teachers, and Good Teachers.  This is for demonstration purposes only and is not a list I have made up. It has been pulled from a Christian web site not unlike others of the same content.

The purpose of this is to show you a “house divided”.  All of those listed claim to be followers of “Jesus”.  They may differ in small degrees on doctrinal issues but for the most part are all in agreement in their teachings but the one thing they all agree on is the declaration of being Christian followers of "Jesus".

I could go through each of those mentioned and demonstrate the error in their doctrine, as the Web site and many other Christian web sites have done, in proving they are not true to the Word, but that is not necessary as I only need to demonstrate one thing, they have the wrong Messiah.  They all worship "Jesus", a messiah coming out of the Dark Ages, as some call it.  It actually began before that but from the period of time known as the “Dark Ages” the worship of the false “Jesus” and the presentation of "another Gospel" became universal. The savior of the world, both Protestant, and Roman Catholic, while beng divided, each out to destory the other, proclaimed "Jesus" as savior.  The vast majority of those claiming the Holy bible as their guided slung arrows of hate and death at one another, the Roman Chruch becoming drunk on the blood of the innocent and in a like manner, so the Protestant groups in one degree or another (Not forgetting, the Protestants came out of the Roman Church, adn historical fact).  They have the right book, the wrong Messiah.  The savior they preach they honor in the celebration of pagan festivals applied, having nothing to do with the Holy Scritpures.  The Holy Bible says to make no images, they have images of every sort.  The Holy Bible tells us our Savior was born in the spring, they say their savior was born in the winter.  They say their savior was crucified on a Friday, the Holy Bible says the "midst of the week", Wednesday.  And so it goes, the Savior they proclaim is nothing like the Messiah of the Bible.

The Dividing Point of Dividing Points

Our Savior’s birth name, you know the name given to Him at birth?  A Name given to Him by His Father, a Name that bears His father’s Name, a name by which all coming to Him must be saved (Acts 4:12), a Name to which we are called and kept (John 17:11), a Name that identifies the Savior offered to the World as the only way to Salvation.  This is not to say the Name is Salvation but it identifies the individual owner of that Name.  Acts 4:12 makes it plain, "... no other name found among men, by which we MUST be saved".  You cannot come the Savior of the world calling on Him by a name that is not His.

So, all I have to do is demonstrate that the Name these preachers, teachers, and prophets, are indeed preaching a false name of rour Savior.  The web site where I obtained the list of individuals calling the Savior of the world by another name, a name not His, preaching another Gospel, all united in this deception are divided one agains the other in their understanding. Ask yourself, what did the Apostle’s call the Messiah, what Name did they teach under, by what Name did they preach salvation?  The same Name He was given at birth, of course.  Our Savior’s Name is Yahshua (to some Yeshua) and it means, YH is Salvation, or, as some have it, YaH is Salvation, or YaH is Savior.  The bogus name “Jesus” (the lie believed) never existed before the 16th century and before that the name in Latin, influenced by the Greek error was seen as Iesus, and prior to that in the Greek as Ieosuos – none of which are even close to the birth name, the true Name of our Savior, YaHshua is ignored by most,  minimized by others.

Considering my point of following or teaching under a false name even those teachers labeled as, “Good Teachers” are in fact teachers also of this false name, Jesus, leding to a false, or "another Gospel" of which we were warned against (2 Cor 11:4, Gal 1:6).

Divided, they are, but united in one of the most deceptive lies in modern history and all of the history of the Christian Church – or - maybe they can’t help it?

For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. (2Th 2:11 KJV)

Read the verses surrounding that just quoted and you will see there is room left open to change your mind but you will see the subject is speaking of a particular time.  Certainly there would be a world wide work in preparation for the “lawless One”, and what would be more fitting than a work of unity, united in their division, just as we see the Christian Church today.  The division is seen in their accusations one aginst the other.  The list of false teachers, as exposed by those of their own kind is an open demonstration of their division.  How is it determined by Christians which Christians, or teachers of Jesus are false, or a cult?  It is anyone that does not agree with your views so the thinking is circular, each pointing the finger at the other's back.  To be fair, however, it must be added that some of the finger pointing is justified in light of the conduct of some of those being exposed by their brethern.

NOTE: Please remember, this is not a list I have throughly researched.  I am familiar with some of those mentioned and some of the works.  As a bible student you will find a fault with each.  Some of those mentioned are united in their cause, but the single most common demoninator is they all teach in the bogus name "Jesus".  With this in mind we must also humble ourselves in the understanding of our Savior's words found in Matthew 24:5, "... many shall come in my Name ... and deceived many".  This is a prophetic statement -- it occured around the time of the last Apostles and is to occur again.  We do see more and more preaching and teaching in His birth Name.  Too often, however, this is applied to the name "Jesus", a name that did not exist when YaHshua spoke those words.  Al too often we see this verse of "many shall come" to mean a mjority, or all, but this is not the case.  "Many" means just that, "many", not all, not even a majority, but merely "many".  What is "many", well, it is more than one for sure, but the implications of our Savior's remark is to be aware, there will be deceivers teaching in His personal Name.  It is my opinion our Messiah, Yahshua, was concerned, not so much by the false teachings of the world but by a deception far greater the called ones might fall into.  We see the false teachers in the world but we should not forget to look hard at any and all that would preach and teach in His Name, and this includes me.

If a house is divided against itself, this house cannot stand. (Mar 3:25) KJV

Just a reminder:  The list is not something I put together but it is from a Christian web site working as an expose of other Christian works. The list could be enlarged but not necessary to prove the point.  There is an uncountable number of small independent works -- in the backwoods (to use as an expression) of America.  There are little groups, churches, sprinkled here and there going unnoticed by everyone but the small communities they thrive in.  Many of these Christian based groups, nearly all professing “Jesus” as savior, would be classified as cults by some, their identities based on whom their leader is.  Many of these small groups I see as being in bondage to personalities thriving on the heady spirit of adoration.  Their leadership, however small, give expression to strong personalities claiming authority from the scriptures.  Within these small groups one can see an abuse of those seeking the truth from the Word and the Spirit of the Word.  Most of these seeminly independtant groups preach of an "end-time" understanding supported by the Evangelical teachers such as Tim Lahaye, Hal Lindsay, and Grant Jeffery.  Some go so far as to re-write scripture.  How do they do this?  By their focus on the "gift of prophecy", as though they are receiving words from the Creator Himeslf -- even thought the words they speak may contradict the written Word it is to be accepted as new information.  If one of their memebers speakes up they are knocked back by the "judgment club".  Those new to the Messiah can be, and in many cases, are overwhelmed and beaten into submission in their own efforts to be good Bible Christians and to obediently follower their more knowlegable teachers.  It is a sad state of affairs.

As we approach the sign of His return it is difficult for the individual believer to see themselves as being taught by their Heavenly Father.  The majority are beaten into submission and in many cases abandon the study of the Scriptures as that becomes the source of aggravation for the local preacher -- sit still, they will tell you what is right, you will only become confused if you attempt to study privately, they say.  The true body of the Christ, the Messiah, allows for a difference as it is understood not everyone is given the same understanding at the same time. The Body of the Messiah on earth is of a various mixture the Head being the Messiah Himself.  He teachers us by His Spirit and the Spirit of our Father in His Written Word.  Any spirit teaching contrary to His Word is not from Him and hwo are we to know this if we, as individuals, are not up to investigating and studying the Written Words ourselves.  It is by this method that we, as individuals, call our teachers to account.  There is a need for teachers and preachers and it is the very Word of our Creator that keep them in line, but when we allow any teacher to become our soul authority we do error.  Whether we teach and learn in the name of Jesus, or Yahshua this is true.  Your Salvation is in your own hands, certainly the false teachers will be held accountable but you too have a certain responsibility in "working out your own salvation" (Philippians 2:12).

Christianity divided against itself cannot be denied.  Go to Google and search under the title “False Prophets’, or “False Christian teachers” and you will find plenty of Christian sites tagging other Christian groups as fakes and deceivers -- Christian against Christian -- You be the judge – Oh, wait, you are not supposed to “judge”, or are you?  (Sorry, I’m being facetious, again, but it is true, the “judgment Club” is used by so many false leaders to keep their following beat down you would think some would actually have their eyes opened to this abuse – you decide)

Here is another link dedicated to more exposing more fellow Jesus followers as fakes:

deception in the church

Certainly there are Christian works that are to be admired, the Salvation Army for one and World Vision is another, each serving humanity in a different area.  It is undeniable works such as these are bases on biblical principles, and such organizations are need.  The 7th Day Aventist practice their charity by giving away clothes and funiture to the poor, and they are tagged by most in the Christian community as a cult but few are as generous.  I could go on but that is not the purpose of this article.

Many of the exposed "false prophets" found among the Christians are called Evangelicals, TV preachers and such.  this is not to say all Evangelicals are "false "prophets".  I don't have to uncover them as their fellow Christians are doing that already.  The following link is a good example of this concerning Benny Hinn --
