Hogs, Pork, Pigs, Ham and Swine

This just will not go away, the people claiming to be of God refuse to treat themselves as if they are Holy.  They say they are holy but act like the world.  Look, I am not perfect, I would like to be, and my struggle is an open book to anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear.  But, my sinful nature, a nature I continually fight with and proves to me everyday my need for Yahshua and the mercy of our Heavenly Father, after all, we are but dirt and still He love us, His creation.  The world of men at large are dead and heading for death, some to eternal death, o others to judgments to determine life eternal or death eternal.  We are told who and what will not enter the Kingdom(government) of God.  Nothing unclean will be allowed into the Kingdom -- What do you suppose the following verse means?

          (2Co 6:17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

Not plain enough, let's quote form a modern translation:

What am I missing here?  The animals listed in your bible as unfit for the people of God to eat are the same today as then, they have not changed, they are still unclean, detestable animals created as scavengers, earth's garbage disposals.  Nearly all Christian teachers twist a teaching of our Savior to say it is not what goes into a man that makes him unclean but what comes out.  If this is meant to mean food, then certainly you are and always will be unclean because you have both, going in, and going out, literally and figuratively.  By this twisted teaching and being favored by biblical translators , flavoring the scriptures to contradict the plain teachings to the Israelites as to what was created for food and what was not -- they are then telling you that you can eat monkey, dog, cat, pig, and even each other. 

More Than you need to Know

What comes to mind when you see the words of the title at the top of this page?  These words are used to describe the most undesirable mannerisms of people and, of course, refers to an animal people consume and are happy to share with neighbors at a BBQ.  So, what's wrong with this picture? 

I have written on this before but came across a little more info I thought the truth searcher might be interested in.  It is a bit of an eye opener but should be remembered, if you share this with another Christian you will be shunned, maybe ridiculed, laughed at, even called a Jew or Old Testament person.  Some may even try to convince  you that the food laws were changed.  Hum, funny, but my Bible says our Savior did not come to "...destroy the Law "

(Mat 5:17)Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Can the Law be changed?  Yes, it can but not by you or me.  The Law was changed making room of the Messiah, born of the line of Judah not of the priestly line of Levi.  Remember, Changed, not destroyed --

Why is the eating of pork forbidden in Islam?

Answer:

The fact that consumption of pork is prohibited in Islam is well known. The following points explain various aspects of this prohibition:

1.Pork prohibited in Qur'an

The Qur'an prohibits the consumption of pork in no less than 4 different places. It is prohibited in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115.

"Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah." [Al-Qur'an 5:3]

The above verses of the Holy Qur'an are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why pork is forbidden.

2. Pork prohibited in the Bible

The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus

"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you".

"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you."
[Leviticus 11:7-8]

Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy

"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass."
[Deuteronomy 14:8]

A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.

3. Consumption of pork causes several diseases

The other non-Muslims and atheists will agree only if convinced through reason, logic and science. Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types of diseases. A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc. One of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which is in lay man's terminology called tapeworm. It harbours in the intestine and is very long. Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it can cause heart attack, if it enters the eye it can cause blindness, if it enters the liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body.

Another dangerous helminthes is Trichura Tichurasis. A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die. In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four people suffering from Trichura Tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very well. This indicates that the ova present in the pork do not die under normal cooking temperature.

4. Pork has fat building material

Pork has very little muscle building material and contains excess of fat. This fat gets deposited in the vessels and can cause hypertension and heart attack. It is not surprising that over 50% of Americans suffer from hypertension.

5. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth

The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck, faeces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In the villages they don't have modern toilets and the villagers excrete in the open air. Very often excreta is cleared by pigs.

Some may argue that in advanced countries like Australia, pigs are bred in very clean and hygienic conditions. Even in these hygienic conditions the pigs are kept together in sties. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature. They eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbour's excreta.

6. Pig is the most shameless animal

The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people consume pork. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e. many say "you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife." If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs. We Indians look upon America to be very advanced and sophisticated. Whatever they do, we follow after a few years. According to an article in Island magazine, this practice of swapping wives has become common in the affluent circles of the world

Do some research on this subject yourself, your health and active service to our Savior is at risk.  It is not a path to salvation, no, that is reserved for YaHshua, so, ask yourself, would YaHshua, a Jew, have sat down with His disciples for a piece of ham?  You know as well as I do that that is a stupid suggestion.  So, do you think He will sit down with you and other in the Kingdom to come and share a roasted pig, or BBQ monkey? 

You need good health so you can withstand what is coming.  If you think a diet of abuse will see you through you are wrong.  YaHshua has chosen some to be witnesses in the last days and he is not going to use some one or maintain someone that deliberately abuses themselves just because they like it.  I to used to eat pork but would never have thought to eat monkey or dogs or cats, then I discovered they were all the same, dog, cats, monkeys and PIG are all on the list of don't eat.  Why, why not, just because they are "unclean", no, not at all -- because you are a holy people unto Him, you are His chosen and are st apart and if you do not realize that then perhaps, just perhaps you will not fare so well as you get older and your use as a vibrant servant fades.  I pray for those called to stand up for the truth of our Savior's words.  Certainly the Kingdom is not made up of food and drink, as the heathen supposes -- food, drink, and sex -- no, but we are not yet in the Kingdom to come.  Don't you know  "flesh and blood " cannot inherit the Kingdom?  When the "called ones" are in the Kingdom they will not be of flesh but of the Spirit of eternal life.  These things will not matter then, but they do now, while we are yet in the flesh our bodies are the Temple of the Living god, He lives in is, and has given us a small piece of Himself.

What harm can it do, to say, yes, I think I will stop eating flesh of animals the Bible says are unclean?  If you do I can think of a benefit above one of health and that would be the chance to bear testimony about your Savior.  Believe me, when friends and family find out, and they will, that you no longer eat certain food, and they find out why they will give you plenty of opportunity to explain yourself.  Some will ask then immediately turn their hearing off, others will shrug while they say, pass the pork, and maybe, just maybe someone might say, "I didn't know that, where does it say that?"  This could very well be your chance, not by force nor by your words to testify concerning your Savior and His Word. 

Final Word

There is always a final word, a final authority, for the Jew there is one word and for the Christian there is another.  I personally do not wish to take either side but it is nearly impossible, not with our savior but with men.  I wish I could convey my thought clear enough to make plain what I am trying to convey.  I say one thing and there are those that say that is all wrong and they say they base their view on the final authority, the Scriptures.  On the other side I get hit with those saying they too are right and the others are wrong and tha i do error and they have it on good authority too, the teachings of the Apostles. 

I have already, in this and other articles, covered what I believe is a view from the physical side, from a fleshly side for the benefit of the body -- a body, a believer, in which we are told the Holy Spirit lives.  And that this Tabernacle on earth is living flesh.  It only seems resaonable to me that this holy body, this holy people should be concerned about good health that they might be useful, while in the physical, in a spiritual way over a longer period of time.  It is proven that bad health leads to a shorter life, whou would argue otherwise?  Well, when it comes to telling someone about food that are unclean many Christians will take offense and defense and apply writings of the Apostles that they should be listening to as a weapon to silence you and mend their own minds from the guilt of eating unclean animal in spite of modern sciences' ability to prove animals such as the pig and rats and other animals are not really suited for human food as much as say a cow or chicken.  So, here is the scriptures, the final word and it can be read anyway you want, to eaither support your case for eating buzzard and mice, or for eating only clean meats, for honoring Holy Days or for not honoring certain Holy Days and Sabbaths.  This is where it is up to you.

Truly, the Kingdom is not made up of food and drink, but right now you are flesh and blood.
