In being challenged on my position concerning “angels marrying women” (Genesis 6) a hot button must have been pushed.  I have received some emails telling me my views woke them up, one compliment, the kind I like, thanked be for the slap in the face waking him from the tantalizing notion that angels actually did have sex with human women – the stuff of scifi movies.  But, for the most part, there have been as many sarcastic suggestions and questions attempting to get me to back off.  Many on this side, angels ravaged women, took wives at will and by this had children of enormous size.  Legend, “lost books”, has it these monsters were 40-200 feet tall. Those poor earthly women, imagine the size of the babies.  Now I am being sarcastic and this leads me into the answer to these questions and what nonsense they are, but are taken as serious challenges by those holding tenaciously to their demon inspire doctrine of angels and women.

   

Questions based in sarcasm:

 

  1. If G-d is made like us then you say he has a part?
  2. If G-d is made like us then He can have sex?
  3. If G-d is made like us then the Angels can have sex too, right?
  4. If G-d is made like us He has other bodily functions too, right?

 

I think I can pretty much answer all of these sarcastic questions with one answer and if you do not see the logic in this answer then I can be of no help to you, not that you are looking for help and is this is the case then this article is mostly to those that have already decided this for themselves and my small effort is to help those special people when confronted with this question:

 

   If God is in our image and His angels are like Him and appear as men, as scripture proves, then they could have sex with human women, right?

 

 This question encompasses the four backward questions and arguments I have received as challenging my position that angels do not marry, do not have sex with human women, and are not the “sons of God” mentioned in Genesis 6.  The answer is a simple one, really, and when you see it you will know it is the truth –

 

 Man is man and woman is woman and no one says, or suggests, that a woman is a man or a man is a woman.  Forget about the deviates and the perverts that want to pervert everything that is natural into something unnatural.

 

  The woman is created in the image of man and she does not have a male part.  So, using simple logic we should see the question and the suggestions, that angels have a male part and are able to produce sperm is just as stupid.  Our form, the form of every living human being is the form or image of the Creator.  It is not that He is like us but we, as in a wavy pool of water, reflect His image in a physical world.  In the Spiritual world it is most difficult for anyone to picture His Glory but we do know that the Spirit image is a semblance of us and is not an exact copy just like a woman is not an exact copy of a man. If the world were all female there would be no reproduction.  We are told by our Savior that angels do not marry, and do not give in marriage – they are different, similar but different.  Yes, they have sat down and ate a meal with humans, unknowingly at times, we are told.  But no where are we ever told angels have operational male parts for producing half-breeds.  It is pagan myth and if it were true much more concerning angels would be given to us.  The Scriptures are silent when it comes to angels cohabiting with flesh and blood woman.  You would think the men of flesh would have a real complaint but no, nothing.  You would think our Creator and the Creator of the angels would have made much more out of the angels sin as opposed to the sin of men.  The first earth is destroyed because of men not angels. 

 

YaHshua tells us that in the world of angels there is neither male nor female and that should be enough but for some it is not as they let their imaginations run wild.  Don’t forget, Adam was created in the image of his creator YHWH and the woman was then created in the image of man.  We can dispense with the notion our Creator and Heavenly Father is a woman or a feminine figure, He is not, according to the Scriptures and to make more out of this is to use your imagination and dream of dreams of what you think, or what you want not what we are told. 

 

If, according to YaHshua, the angels neither male nor female then how is it some of these false and deceived teachers say the “SONS of God” are angels? We are told that He makes His angels “spirits” (Heb 1:7)

 

Wouldn’t the reference to being “sons” indicate they are males?  Do you see how lame all of this is?  What, Job calls the angels “sons of God”, that is you proof?  So, where does the statement fit in where He says, “To which of the angels did He ever say at anytime, you are My son?” (Heb 1:5)  So what is Job saying?  He is telling us that the angels have a male appearance from our prespective.  Certainly they are neiter male nor female but in appearance, when we would see them they would have a male appearance not a female.  They do not have long hair and painted nails and ruby lip and all the other trapping of a woman, they do not have breast, which would be obvious and they do not speak in a woman’s tone of voice.  In all of the examples of angels speaking with servants of YHWH not one is presented as a woman but in the appearance of “sons of men” (Dan 7:13).  They are, however, angels and of a different glory than flesh and blood (1 Cor 15:38-40).  They are not flesh and blood they are something else. 

 

Here is a bit of speculation for you, for those who love to let the imagination climb to the heavens – Did Adam have male sex organs before Eve was created?  After all, according to the record of Creation, as most see it, Adam was given the choice of having a mate or not.  Had he chose not to have a mate but to be satisfied with the other animals as his companion then what use would he have for a sex organ?  If, as he did chose, to take a mate of the same “kind” as himself then was a male appendage supplied to accommodate a union with his female counterpart?  If Adam already had a male organ and testicles for the production of sperm it would then be a forgone conclusion that Adam was to have a “like kind” mate and Adam really did not have a choice in the matter. 

 

The point is, we do not know for sure, but the possibility that Adam did not have the equipment for sexual activity until after Eve was created is very possible.  If those teaching angels can have sex can speculate along such lines then it is not unreasonable to speculate that Adam did not have male organs and in this speculation this would then mean neither does his Creator.  The Creator can create without the assistance of sperm, so this idea that we are in His likeness and because we men have a penis does not mean He has one or has need of one and the same would hold true concerning the uterus of a woman. 

 

The whole argument is nonsense, that angels are like the Creator and appear as men and therefore they must have male parts because we do.  Forget about women, of course, as no one wants the Creator to be a woman, right? 

 

Being made in His image is not the same as being made just like Him, no, that is coming, is still future, and then we know we will be just like the angels, neither male nor female.

 

(Luke 20:34-36)  And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:  But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:   Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

 

Did you hear that, it is the children of God are of this world that marry and give in marriage, not angels, which should tell us angels are not the ‘sons of god” in Genesis 6.  Once the Children of this world are counted worthy of the “resurrection from the dead” this ends – once crossing from the flesh to the spirit the concept of sexual conception ends.  It is then we become as the angels, but after the resurrection will be like the angels of heaven. 

 

(Gal 3:28)  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

 

“Neither male nor female…”  is what it says and when looking at other verses this all makes sense.  “But”, some will and have objected, “it says as the ‘angels in heaven’ not on earth”.  Right and this argument has been put out there by very sincere individuals.  The whole context of the above verse is about the “children of this world” and the “children of the resurrection” and it all takes place on earth.  What, angels coming to earth suddenly become flesh and blood with the ability to marry and have sex? 

 

Angels trapped on this earth are rebels in union with Satan and they are not called “sons of God” they are demons and devils.  Look at the book of Job again and you will see the angels called “sons of God” are in heaven. But look closely and you will see Satan is mentioned as one coming in among the angels called the “sons of God”, he is not called a son of god and neither would be his demon comrades, those angels revolted into something else, they are no longer “sons of God” by creation but rebel demons and devils.  Also, a reminder, the angels are only called the ‘sons of God” in heaven.  I am using the same argument the false (deceived) teachers use when trying to make their point but in this case it is not a twisting of the truth but the real truth.  Angels are of a kind that is not flesh and they have abilities and talents superior to flesh able to pass from here to there and in appearance they can seem to be what they are not.  They are capable of participating in this world as well as the spirit world but not as humans, they are not humans and are not made up of flesh and blood. 

 

The “sons of God” in Genesis 6 were flesh and blood not spirit angels.  They were not “sons of Elohim”.  A better translation would be, “… sons of the gods”, as the word for “god” in this verse is “elohim’ which being properly translated is “gods”.  It would seem more reasonable to say, then, that these individuals were known as the ‘”sons of the gods” implying they were not of the line of Seth and they were not followers of the True God but were idol worshipers and took to themselves the title of “sons of Gods”.  We see this very thing among the Egyptians and the ruling families and we see this same thing down through history where flesh and blood families claim to be of the same line as the “gods”.  The “gods” of this world are, however, false gods.  Satan is called a “god of this world” and in a spiritual sense he does have children that follow his influences.  You have to start jumping over the lines of reality to say that Satan sired, sexually, those called his children.

 

Pharisees

 

YaHshua had a confrontation with a group of Pharisees and in the discussion and after some admissions by these teachers it was determined these Pharisees were “children of Satan”.  Why or how did YaHshua make this determination?  They “lied” and were continuing to lie and to make the truth a lie – no sex necessary.

 

(John 8:44)  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

 

See how simple it is?  Want to be a child of Satan then do murder, be a liar, practice these things and you to can become a “child of Satan”.  But maybe you had rather become a Child of the Living God, then you need to do something else – you need to accept YaHshua as your Savior and this will lead you to becoming one of the “children of the resurrection”.  A Child of God, be they “daughters of God” or “sons of God” fall under the protection of YaHshua.

 

Sons of Elohim (gods)

 

Let’s not lose sight of what Genesis 6 is really saying and focus on what it does say.  It says – sons of gods.  It does not say – sons of the GOD.

 

Someone recently tried to tell me that the term “god” is the name of Satan.  They had a lot of circular thinking and twisted views when applying this generic term as an exclusive term for Satan and in the end would say this term is a name and it is a name for Satan.  This individual, when applying the “sons of God” to Genesis 6 would then be saying “sons of Satan”.  We have already looked at what qualifies a person as a “child of Satan”.

 

You can wrestle with this as much as you want and still there will be those continuing to insult the Angels of the Living God.
