Jesus Is Not His Name!

Thankfully most of you reading this site already know this, but there are still those that stumble across our website and still do not get it. The importance of this flies right over the heads of those diminishing the point that our Savior was given a personal Name, a Name by which and under which all must be saved. If there is any doubt whatsoever concerning this it should be searched out by everyone claiming to be followers of the Messiah (the Christ) of the Christian/Hebrew Bible.

(Act 4:12) And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." EVS

It is verse like this one that should make your eyes pop open and the hair on your head stand up. This verse is from Peter's (Cephas) first sermon after receiving the Holy Spirit. This is one of the first teachings of the proclaiming of the Gospel (Good News) of the coming Kingdom and its King. This Name would be a Name found on Earth, not hidden in Heaven and it would be a Name "found among men". When our Savior was born and when He began his ministry the name Jesus did not exist among men, it did not exist at all.

(John 14:6) YaHshua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. KJV

Does this need interpretation? No, it does not, it should not -- no one can come to the Father except through YaHshua. Yes, I pulled the name Jesus out and replaced it with His birth name, YaHshua, the Name given Him before He was born, a Name given Him as the promise of something to come. The Name delivered by an Angel -- telling Maryam and Joseph what to Name Him -- a Name from our Heavenly Father.

(Mat 1:21) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name YaHshua: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Yes, I did it again, restoring His original birth Name to the text. In this verse we are shown His Name and the definition of His Name, all in the same verse. YaHshua literally means, YaH's Savior, or, even, YaH is Salvation. Some do see and show His name as YaHushua which is, YaH is Salvation or, again, Savior. It is not a big point as both apply and YaHushua is found in the Old Testament. We see the name YaHshua as Joshua in the OT and so it is not a problem with finding this name among men, just as Acts 4:12 tells us.

(Rev 14:1) And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

(Rev 7:3) Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Never think it is not important, do not let anyone sell you on the idea that it is all about your heart and how you feel. Remember this, the heathen do love their own, the pagans do love themselves and their own families and our Creator God has let the blessing of rain fall on them as us. So, what do you suppose, separates the 'children of God from these, the heathens and the pagans and the pagan Christians?

(Php 2:9-11) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of YaHshua every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Yahshua the Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

"To the glory of God the Father", and that is what it is all about. YaHshua was named by His Father and we have no right to change it -- none. To whom is very knee to bow, or what name is it above every Name? When these inspired words were penned the name JESUS had never been heard of.

I could go on and on with this but I think the point has been made -- wake-up. What kind of gospel is it if the Holy Name of our God and Savior is wrong? The message may ring true but it is pointing at someone or something else. How can any modern evangelist say they are preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom in His Name when they do not have His Name, when they are using a Name not more than a few hundred years old?

Start today, if you already haven't and begin restoring His Name to your reading of Scripture. Now, consider the following verses and ask yourself, why has this been hidden?

(Act 2:21) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

(Rom 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
