http://www.sacrednamemovement.com/snbibles.htm This is a site that deals with the Sacred Name movement in a fair handed way. The modern day history of the Sacred Names movement is given and some reasoning as to why it is not felt the Holy Name of the Living God and His Son should be, or need to be restored. It is a challenging site for those of the opposite view and for the undecided you might find what you are looking for here. I suspect that this site actually leads as many to begin a self restoration of the Holy Name of God, as it does those applauding efforts to discourage the use of any name other than "Jesus". I disagree with much of his logic, but I believe his site is definitely worth a look. This site is authored by Gary Mink and it is worth reading the history he volunteers about himself, then you might understand where he is coming from. He has had first hand experiences with a group of "Sacred Name" proponents. He has kept his faith but has been soured on the Sacred Name approach. I have communicated with the gentleman and he is a very nice person and has only good intentions in the production of his site. Never be to quick to judge, no matter which side of the fence you are on. The bottom line in determining his position, not unlike what the many critics of Christianity have, is his past experiences with a Sacred Names church he and his family were once part of. Unlike the majority of Christian critics, he does not condemn the Bible and maintains its validity as the Word of the Living God. This is a good lesson for all that adhere to the Sacred Name doctrine -- how we treat others -- our attitude toward friend and foe -- flee those that would persecute you -- take care you are not the persecutor -- take cre you do not bring shame on the Name of our Savior by your actions -- If we suffer then let it be for His name, not for our actions.
