Haiti, Under Punishment of God?Pat Robertsons says, yes
This will be short and sweet, I hope. Anyone can say any terrible and traumatic event is punishment from the Creator but is it so? How can we know it isn't or it is just a matter nature, wrong place at the wrong time? Well, my friends, it is easy to tell, yes easy, and Pat Robertson is speaking his own word -- not the word of our Creator. How can you tell if the shifting of the earth is punishment from God or not? Simple, it will be foretold in advance. First, our merciful God and Savior, YaHshua will warn you before the punishment, so called. Read your Bible, the great events of punishment came after the warning. Jonah was sent to warn a city and the city listened, repented and the punishment was stayed. Jonah was mad about that, after all his reputation was on the line. He was the unwilling Prophet and when he was forced into service he then became foolish by the fact the people repented and the curse he had pronounced on them was withdrawn. Jonah had egg on his face, not only that, he did not like these people. You see, it did not matter what Jonah wanted nor what he thought. YHWH's mercy is great and he recognized the repentance of the people of Nineveh and withdrew His wrath. Praise YaH. Where is the prophet that walked the streets of Haiti warning the people? That's right, there wasn't one, certainly not Pat Robertson. It is easy to say this disaster or that disaster is from our merciful God. You see, His mercy is so great he will not blind side anyone. Things happen, the Earth is alive, it moves and shifts and rains and blows as a natural consequence of degeneration. That's right, this world is slowly degenerating, it is breaking apart and, if our Creator does nothing, will be swallowed up by the death of our Sun. Now that is a prophecy, but who will be around to witness it? If mankind has their way, no one, but that is not our Heavenly Father's plan, He will have mercy on us. To suggest an earthly calamity is a punishment from God is ridiculous and preachers and self-proclaimed prophets should be ashamed of themselves. Now, if Pat had taken it upon himself to go the the people of Haiti, to warn them of this coming punishment from God, as a word He received and a hope to escape the coming wrath, well, that would be something else, but that is not what happened, is it? Our Bible, the written Words of our Creator, YaHshua, has a lot to tell us about coming events and some of us will witness some of these things coming. The Holy Bible is a witness and a prophetic word from our Heavenly Father and our Savior YaHshua of things to come before He comes. On top of this written alert He will send TWO Prophets (Rev 11) as further warning. When these two say something is going to happen it will happen. Things happen and will continue to happen, fires, flood, quakes in various places, war and rumor of wars. As our Lord said, "...all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet". Where does he say these events are a punishment. Certain these things will not be pleasant for those suffering under the mention actions of earth and man but these things are normal, natural events. If anything the Haitians building codes need to be revamped. San Francisco, back in the 80s, experienced an earthquake of the same magnitude as that of the Island Haiti and 84 people died. The death toll in Haiti will number in the thousand. Why? Because God saved us and is damning them? Hardly, it has to do with the density of their population living in structures that would be condemned in the US under our building codes. With the event in San Francisco most of the deaths occurred with the collapse of a multilevel freeway. Because of this a state wide project began to strengthen the freeway overpass system. Will Haiti do this with their buildings, strengthen the regulations to improve the building technique's? Will the millions to be poured into Haiti help to rebuild earthquake tolerant structures? They live over a major earthquake zone and it was only a matter of time, really, not the hand of God. We heard this same kind of misapplied accusations against New Orleans and the Katrina event. There were areas hit and hurt far worse than New Orleans and today these areas have been rebuild better than before, stronger, newly improved. Are these false prophets, so presumptuous as to speak for God, going to tell us the areas struck down are now blessed of God with all of the new construction and the new money flowing in -- all a blessing from God? Did the people of the Katrina event all repent and turn to their Creator? I think you get the point. Peace, in His Name, your servant, Dan |
