(Rev 13:2) And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Pergamos is no more, it once was a thriving city centered in Asia Minor.  There was a temple located there that represented the seat of Satan, it was shaped like a huge chair (believe it or not) and around the arms of this temple were life sized statues of every god known to man.  This temple came to ruin along with the fortunes of Pergamos.  The Seat has been moved, but where?  The actual foundations and a reconstruction of the actual temple from its orginal site has been moved to Germany.  Imagine, Germany, of all places, the country that attempted to exterminate the Jews has a symbol of Satan's authority moved from its original location to their soil.  

Where is this seat today, it obviously has been moved as we read the description of the beast and how Satan is going to give this Beast to come his SEAT.  Not just his SEAT but his POWER and his AUTHORITY -- his GREAT AUTHORITY.  Satan has been restricted to this planet, YaHshua saw his fall, we are given More detail in the Book of Revelation and see Satan's also took a third of the angels with him, his cohorts and companions in rebellion.  Notice, Satan is cast to earth and he, Satan, reaches up with his tail and pulls down a third of the angels, those willingly following him.  They are on this earth and the message to the Church at Pergamos proves this and confirms YaHshua's statement as true and accurate.  

Satan's Seat is movable and those at Pergamos were told he was there in their city.  What we are not told is where his Seat of authority has moved, we can only guess.  This brings me to an article I read recently and would like to present to you for consideration.  Remember, while this article may seem to prove where Satan's Seat is today but it is movable.  But some of the thing you have been reading over the last few years may be explained by what you are about to read.

Chief exorcist says Devil is in Vatican

The Devil is lurking in the very heart of the Roman Catholic Church, the Vatican's chief exorcist claimed on Wednesday.

Father Gabriele Amorth said people who are possessed by Satan vomit shards of glass and pieces of iron.

He added that the assault on Pope Benedict XVI on Christmas Eve by a mentally unstable woman and the sex abuse scandals which have engulfed the Church in the US, Ireland, Germany and other countries, were proof that the Anti-Christ was waging a war against the Holy See.

 "The Devil resides in the Vatican and you can see the consequences," said Father Amorth, 85, who has been the Holy See's chief exorcist for 25 years.

"He can remain hidden, or speak in different languages, or even appear to be sympathetic. At times he makes fun of me. But I'm a man who is happy in his work."

While there was "resistance and mistrust" towards the concept of exorcism among some Catholics, Pope Benedict XVI has no such doubts, Father Amorth said. "His Holiness believes wholeheartedly in the practice of exorcism. He has encouraged and praised our work," he added.

The evil influence of Satan was evident in the highest ranks of the Catholic hierarchy, with "cardinals who do not believe in Jesus and bishops who are linked to the demon," Father Amorth said.

In a rare insight into the world of exorcism, the Italian priest told La Repubblica newspaper that the 1973 film The Exorcist gave a "substantially exact" impression of what it was like to be possessed by the Devil.

People possessed by evil sometimes had to be physically restrained by half a dozen people while they were exorcised. They would scream, utter blasphemies and spit out sharp objects, he said.

"From their mouths, anything can come out – pieces of iron as long as a finger, but also rose petals," said Father Amorth, who claims to have performed 70,000 exorcisms. "When the possessed dribble and slobber, and need cleaning up, I do that too. Seeing people vomit doesn't bother me. The exorcist has one principal duty - to free human beings from the fear of the Devil."

The attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II by a Turkish gunman in 1981 and recent revelations of "violence and paedophilia" committed by Catholic priests against children in their care was also the work of the Devil, said Father Amorth, who has written a book about his vocation, Memoirs of an Exorcist, which was published recently.

Father Amorth, who is the president of the Association of Exorcists and fought as a partisan during the war, has previously claimed that both Hitler and Stalin were possessed by the Devil.

In an interview with Vatican Radio in 2006, he said: "Of course the Devil exists and he can not only possess a single person but also groups and entire populations.

"I am convinced that the Nazis were all possessed. All you have to do is think about what Hitler and Stalin did."

He also condemned the Harry Potter books, saying they were dangerous because they dabbled in the occult and failed to draw a clear distinction between "the Satanic art" of black magic and benevolent white magic.

This is quite an admission and from someone living within the Vatican.  When you look at the history of the Roman Church it is not difficult to agree with Father Gabriele Amorth.  The Roman Church has, in the past, been drunk on the blood of the Saints.  The question is, will she rise to that kind of power again?  Will the Roman Church have the power of life and death over those that do not agree with her?  When on looks at the Vatican and its structure a similarity can be seen with that of the temple at Pergamos, it has arms reaching out, like arms on a chair and on top of those out reaching arms sits statues of saints, saints that are given honor and status as gods. 

It is my thinking that the Vatican may well be the Seat of Satan today but I'm thinking it will be moved and a new, similar, more modern edifice will rise and this time Satan will commit himself totally to this new rise of Power, giving the Beast Government, and its Head his power, his authority, his SEAT.  Where ever Satan sits and rules from will, one day, be where the end-time Beast will be.  As witnesses, if we live to see it, will know where this is when we see the finished product and see the Mark of his name, the sign of his success the world over. 

Some speak of the rebuilding of Babylon, the original Babylon, but scripture speaks of a "Daughter Babylon" also, and there seems to be more than one, like daughters from a mother.  As an example we see the Mother Church of Rome with her daughters, conceived out of the Dark Ages and spread the world over.  Rome calls for her daughter to return to her as a sign of unity and there is a drive to do just that.  The Roman Church, under John Paul, began a new thing of calling all religions to the Church.  That's right, John Paul's world trips were an attempt at bringing all religions under one banner, that of the Catholic Church.  I wonder if John Paul saw the Roman Church as the Mother of all religions?  If so, and I am only guessing, it would make sense to say the Roman Church is the visible remnant of the original Mystery Religion of Babylon.  It seems to be the Case and the only thing that really explains Pope John Paul's efforts at unifying, not only the Churches Daughter (Protestant Churches) but those of the Hindu, Buddhism, various pagan religions of indigenous peoples the world over.  Pope Benedict seems to be following this same path, though not as apparent, he is more involved in restoring wayward Catholic.  

With the admission of  Father Gabriele Amorth (I know, I know, "call no man your father", and I do not, this is but a title taken illegally by the priests of this organizations to themselves without so much as a blush) much of what we have seen coming out of the Roman Catholic Church over the years is understandable, "The Devil resides (lives) in the Vatican ...".
