Our Savior's Name

If you have not read "Shouting His Name" I would encourage you to do so.  This article, "Our Savior's Name", is a companion article and I hope and pray it is a blessing to you in your study of God's words.

Our Savior's name is in the scriptures, it is there before our eyes read and see it :

1 Chronicles 24:11, 2 Chronicles 31:15

Ezra 2:2; 2:6; 2:36; 2:40; 3:9; 4:3; 5:2; 8:3

Nehemiah 3:19; 7:7; 7:11; 7:39; 7:43; 8:7; 8:17; 9:4; 9:5; 10:9; 11:26; 12:1; 12:7; 12:8; 12:10; 112:24; 12:26

The name "Jeshua" shines out from these verses, and this if from the King James Version.  So, all of you people pushing the KJV as the only inspired Bible explain to me and others why the lack of consistency between the Hebrew Scriptures and the Gospel message and Apostolic letters?  The Scriptures the Apostles taught from, quoted from, and our Savior mentioned and quoted and elaborated on, time after time, contains His BIRTH NAME, Jeshua, Yeshua, Yahoshua.  We need to remember the "J" in English is mispronounced and needs to be changed to "Y" for the proper English transliteration.  It is important as the following verse makes plain, it is something you need to be concerned with.

(Act 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

No other namefound among men, on this earth, by which we must be saved!  What is to be understood here?  First, there is Salvation in no other, and that the Name by which this Salvation is to come is a name that can be found among men, not in heaven or some other part of the universe.  If you take the time to look up the verses presented you will see the Name JESHUA and near "transliteration" of the Hebrew name YaHshua, or YaHoshua, or even Yeshua, the later, however is incomplete, but close enough to make a strong case against the use of the bogus name JESUS.

Let's have a look at the Strong's Hebrew Dictionary:  H3442 -- ye^shu^a? -- yah-shoo'-ah  --  he will save; Jeshua, the name of two Israelites, also of a place in Palestine: - Jeshua.

Take note of how this name is pronounced, not Yes - shua but YaH-shua or Yah-shoo-ah.  Spell it how you want, YaH-shua, even YaHoshua as some prefer, it is the same Name.  Say it fast or naturally and you cannot hardly tell the difference between the two.  I personally perfer YaHshua.  YaHshua means YaH will Save -- YaHoshua, means YaH is our Salvation, a small variation on the same Name, the Name or our Creator and Savior.

The Name YaHoshua can be found in Numbers 13:16 and 1 Chronicles 7:27

Strong's H3091    ^{yeho^shu^a? yeho^shu^a? ---}  yeh-ho-shoo'-ah, yeh-ho-shoo'-ah -- Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (that is, Joshua), the Jewish leader: - Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua.

Salvation is promised under only one name, a Name given to our Savior at Birth, not a Greek name, not a bastardized Greek/Latin/English so far removed from the original name -- a name found among earthly man, not in heaven, nor imagined, and not made up thousands of years later, but a Name given our Savior that was and still is known today.  The Name our Savior would carry is also representative of His Father and would be a name already being used and we see this Name in the Scriptures leaving no excuse for replacing His Name with a substitute name. 

The first century Church, centered at Jerusalem (Yerusalem, Yahusalem) was experiencing rapid growth, even some of the Jewish Priest had become believers.  These Jewish religious converts would never have called on a Greek Name as their Savior. 

(Act 6:7) And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Read the full account of Stephen in Acts chapters 6-7 and you will read of Stephen's marvelous confession and the price he paid and you will read of the plans made to murder him and as you read you have to wonder, where were the "great company of priests" at Stephen's trumped up trial and stoning? 

It is my opinion these "priests" were afraid to intervene, of course, they, like Nicodemus, were most likely closet believers not wanting to put their jobs in jeopardy.  This "great company" of priests were most likely fearful of the power held by the other priest, being able to rule over life and death.  Their silence tells us a lot and from the book of Acts we hear nothing from these believing priests, they are stone cold silent.  One thing is also sure; this fearful bunch would never have been caught making mention of a Messiah with a Greek name, it was bad enough to consider this Jewish man from Nazereth, YaHshua, was precieved by some as the prophecied Messiah -- imagine if the Jewish converts were saying IeZeus is Messiah?  Certainly all of the priests and scribes would have discussed the coming of the Jewish Messiah, the coming of the Savior of Israel, but never by a Greek, or Latin name.  It would have been obvious to the religious leaders of the day that the Messiah was never prophecied to come in a name not of Israelite/Jewish origin, just as you should realize this, just as those professing the Messiah of the Holy Bible as their Savior should know too. 

With the stoning of Stephen the backlash against this sect of the Nazarene, these confessors of YaHshua as Messiah, began in real eanest.  After this event, the killing of Stephen, we continue to hear nothing from this "great company of Priest".   Peer pressure can be a very strong influence, especially when it come to your financial well being, your job, your ability to buy or sell -- simple, yes, and possibly true. 

The Savior's Name is in the Holy Bible and leaves no excuse for changing it.  There is not one verse in all of Scripture telling us His Name would be changed.  I know of some, most, when backed into this corner pull out the Inspiration theory.  This theory is that the Holy Spirit inspired this change from Yahshua to Jesus, confusing and misusing an instruction dilivered to Timothy from Paul in a letter --

(2Timothy 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The first thing we notice is at the time of this writing the only "Scripture" known to any of the Apostles were the the Hebrew Scripture.  Yes, I believe the Gospel accounts are inspired and the Letters the Apostles wrote are too, but this is after the fact when quoting Paul's letter to Timothy.  It is the message and the understanding of the message and the promises of Salvation and the total gospel message that is inspired -- not the printed words on paper!  If fallen man has a hand in anything it is corupted.  The miracle of the Holy Bible is the unchanging message it contains, the HOPE offered mankind, a way of escape from this sin drenched world -- the way of Salvation.

The Holy Scriptures are not infallible as written, but His Word, His Message is.  The prophets of old spoke as they were moved and YaHWeH tells us he gave them words to speak and if anyone claiming to be a prophet of YHWH and speaking words that do not ring true or come to pass is then speaking presumptiously and is in danger of the death penalty.  The Prophets of the Hebrew Scriptures wrote and spoke as they were either moved or were told directly and in these writing we see the truth as they have suvived the test.  Any other writings by professing prophets, that were false, has not suvived for their error became obvious.  

 The Apostles wrote as their inspired thinking led them, YaHshua had already spoken to them perfsonally, teaching them and then promised the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit to be with them.  This same Spirit of Truth is present in those He has called and by this special guidence the believer is able to decern the truth.  Much of what the Apostles taught and wrote came from their knowledge of the Hebrew Scriptures and in these we find the proof of YaHshua as Messiah, not the false Jesus.  The proof of YaHshua (YaHoshua) as Messiah is found in the Hebrew/Jewish Scriptures and you can search all you want, the name Jesus is not found but the Names of our Savior are, in near perfect transliterations, is found and even seen in the English translations and it is not the name Jesus.

The Name Shouted out in you Bible is YaHoshua, or YaHushua, YaHshua, YaH, and even JOSHUA which should be pronounced YaHshua not JAWshua.  These are all "equivilents" in the Hebrew language you can see YaH-YaHWeH also but not this bogus name Jesus (GeeZus, or Hey-Zeus).

Variations on the Savior's Name -- YaHshua, Yahoshua, Yeshua, Jehoshua, Jeshua, Joshua as found in your Bible. Keep in mind, the letter "J" is not pronounced as in the word "Just" but as in the word "yawn", or "yod", so, technically all of the spelling (in print) are pronounced the same as those seen in the Strong's dictionary as the transliterated letter "Y" not the "J". 

Let this be enough for now -- His Name is not hidden, not changed and for thousands of years has been crying out from the Scriptures.  The Times of the Gentiles, the Greeks, is coming to and end and will be finished at the return of our Savior.  This coming time will put an end to the Gentile pollution of the Word and to the Gentile injection of pagan philosophy and idolatry into the original Christian faith.  The Jews broke the words turning, at times, from their God in an adulterous manner but the Gentile/Greek/pagan Christians have changed the words and the names and see nothing wrong in this.  Heaven forbid the bank that would dare change you name on your account but it means nothing to the Gentile Christians to do this to our Savior and our Heavenly Father.
