Today as Signs we are in the End Days?

We hear from the modern day prophets and prophecy writers that we are living in the End Days.  Proof for this is world conditions and proof of the United States continuing fall into immortality and abandoning our political, founding Father’s Christian establishment of the United States.  All bad news, of course, and must be signs of entering the End Days.  I have no idea if we are in the final days as many teach.  The Apostles and believers of the first century from the crucifixion believed they were living in the “last days”.  Certainly we have been living in the “last days” since the coming of our Savior as the Lamb of God, at least, as concerns day of eternity.  Our time as opposed to how our Creator counts time is short, very short. 

The “signs of the time” is certainly unsettling but it should be realized these things have always been among humans.  What these “signs” demonstrate is that we, as humans, have not changed at all, we are the same.  History proves our evil nature and it is the same yesterday as today.  I won’t go into all of the verses cited to support the idea we are in the “end days”, we may be, but I would not dare teach this as a fact, beyond doubt as do many of the teachers of today. 

One thing is sure and can be said without doubt – the “end” for you will be at the end of your age, your personal life, whether accidentally or from old age.  Kind David’s end came 70 years after his birth and the end for him occurred at that time but for me it may also be 70 years, sooner or later, but the end for me and for you will be similar.  David is not contemplating these thousands of years passing by, not at all, his next waking moment will be at the return of our Savior ushering in the Resurrection of all the Saints.  Truly, the end for all is the end of our lives, so why worry over the age we live in as the End Times? 

As the prophecy teachers die off, leaving their works behind, are we then to conclude they were wrong in telling us they were living and preaching in the “end times”.  Certainly we could question their self imposed credentials as teachers of prophecy, but remember, the Apostles of the Messiah did speak, at time, as though living in the “end days”, they seemed, as today, to have the evidence.  They, however, change in their opinion on this subject as it became ever more apparent they were not in the “end” ready to move into the Kingdom on earth and the literal return of our Savior.  I have yet to see or read of any of the modern prophets taking this step backward, even though many before them, also having declared their days as the “end times” have gone to the grave.

Am I saying our “Lord delays His coming”?  Absolutely not, He is not delayed, not at all, He is right on schedule.  The timing if in the Hands or our Heavenly Father and YaHshua will return when the Father tell him to.  His methods are not our methods, no one can know His mind and it is presumptuous of us to think we can.  He reveals things to His servants in due time and there will be those of the body of the Christ on earth that will one day witness, as witnesses, the coming of our Savior.  Many things will have to happen before then and it is events only our Creator and God can and will control. 

The “signs of the times” is proof we are fallible, broken humans full of sin just as those before us since the beginning.  The true “end day” is when your days end.  We should take care in how much we place our hearts on the coming of the “end times” as they will not be pleasant time, especially for the “saints” living in or around Jerusalem.  Let us study the word open to His truth and guidance as it is given not as someone else may teach.  Be suspicious of any prophet or teacher that is making money from his or her teaching of the word.  No, it is not wrong, I’m merely saying be on guard.  Religious empires have been built on faulty information and continue to this day the ‘blind leading the blind”, and this is how the blind want it when they are being told what they want to hear. 

Certainly no one wants to hear they are in the “end days’, right, but if they believe they are and then are told they will escape, then that is a whole other thing.  It almost becomes a desire to punish the world for its evil while you get to escape to the safety of Heaven in what the prophets of today teach as the “doctrine of the Rapture”.  Now there is a real “sign of the times”.
